How to write an SEO article people actually read (and Google finds)
An SEO article that only repeats keywords gets read by no one. One that answers a real question well does. These are the five steps we follow when writing an 800-1,000-word article.
1. Start with the customer's question
Before thinking about keywords, write the sentence your customer would type into a search engine: "how much does a logo cost for a small shop?". That sentence is the topic of the article, and also the best possible title.
2. One H1, a few H2s and nothing else
A single main heading containing the question. Three or four subheadings answering its parts. If you need ten, the article is too big: split it in two.
3. Answer first
The first two paragraphs must give the short answer. The rest explains, gives examples and adds nuance. Readers in a hurry already have what they came for, and those who want more keep reading.
4. Write like you speak
Short sentences, simple words, first-person plural. Avoid advertising tone. An article is good when a customer thinks "I could have asked this myself".
5. Link and review
Every article should link to another piece of your own content: a service, another article or the contact page. Before publishing, check the meta description (about 150 characters), image alt texts and that no data is made up.
If you want an article like this for your business, we write it for €15: 800-1,000 words and 2 revisions. Write to us and tell us what your business is about.
